About the Event

About

The Rotary Four Way Test Speech Contest (4WTSC) is a state-wide competition conducted in each year. It is important because truthfulness, fairness and goodwill are beneficial qualities we must be mindul of in our relationships with other people. The Rotary 4WTSC is part of the School Link Program, within which each Rotary club is linked with a primary or secondary school. The contest was initiated by Fred Marsh in his year as District Governor in 1988-89.

The Rotary 4WTSC supports the English curriculum in speaking and listening and is an opportunity for teachers to develop student skills in listening, reading, public speaking and creative writing. The Rotary Four Way Test encompasses a world-wide set of ethics and values that can be applied to everyday life for each one of us.
